Skulls + Flowers

 Maybe it's spring that is making me fall back in love with colour. The fabric designs by Alexander Henry are my biggest inspiration currently. His designs are often inspired by mexican colours and themes, often combining skulls and flowers ( two of my favourite things!).

It is reminiscent of one of my favourite painters Georgia O'keefe, whose works project life and death in a way which is truly beautiful. 

I am continuously fascinated with the way western culture treats life and death as complete opposites of one another. In reality they are friends.
