Hello hyacinth

I bought a hyacinth bulb from work last week and got ridiculously excited to say the least. I had a hyacinth jar in my vase collection which I have not used in years, so I dusted it off, put the beautiful bulb on top and put in in a dark cupboard.

Every few days I can't help but have a squiz and today there were roots! That is what I love about the jars, you get to see every stage of the bulb, while if you pot them up, you have to wait for the first shoots and we all know I'm too impatient for that...
